A segunda edição do festival apresenta nove bandas e traz campanha solidária para o público manauara.
Buscando a integração entre público e os músicos manauaras, a banda Jarakillers criou um festival de música independente em 2013. A iniciativa mostrou-se para muitos fãs de rock uma grande sacada e, um ano depois, o ‘Jarakillers Fest Manaus’, chega a sua segunda edição neste mês de novembro.
Reunindo vários estilos dentro do rock'n’roll, desde o trash metal ao punk rock, e com o objetivo de fomentar e promover as bandas autorais do cenário local, o festival contará com nove bandas da Manaus e será realizado no dia 22 deste mês no Atlético Rio Negro Club, no Centro da cidade.
“Além da própria Jarakillers, já temos confirmadas as bandas Nekrost, Ilai, Evil, Syndicate, João Pestana, The Mones, Eutanase, Infamia e Dezolation, bem como o DJ Cybernet”, comentou o organizador do evento e vocalista da Jarakillers, Kimo, ressaltando que o evento terá início às 16h e deverá se estender até as 4h da manhã. “Cada banda terá cerca de uma hora de show”, completou.
Para reunir as bandas, Kimo lembra que contou com a ajuda do site ‘Toque no Brasil’. “Anunciamos o evento no site e, ao todo, mais de setenta bandas de toda a América Latina se inscreveram para participar do evento, mas demos preferência para as bandas locais”. Para as próximas edições, Kimo pensa em expandir o line up a América Latina e aceitar bandas de países como Chile e Argentina.
O evento, de acordo com Kimo, também será o momento ideal para a banda, na estrada desde 2001, lançar seu primeiro álbum de estúdio, chamado ‘Macabre tales of Dark River’ (em tradução literal do inglês, ‘Contos macabros do Rio Negro). “Ainda não definimos o repertório da nossa apresentação no dia, mas acredito que tocaremos as músicas do álbum”, adiantou o músico.
Com um público de 300 pessoas na edição anterior, sendo realizado na estrada do Turismo, Kimo espera para esse ano mais de 500 pessoas. “Mudamos para o Centro justamente por ser mais acessível, em um lugar onde passa muito ônibus e que todo mundo conhece”, comentou.
Os ingressos para o evento serão vendidos na hora, na bilheteria do Rio Negro Club, ao valor de R$ 10. “Para entrar também será necessário levar um quilo de alimento não perecível que doaremos à instituição Raio de Sol - grupo de caráter voluntário que presta assistência para crianças portadoras de doenças do sangue”, concluiu.
O ‘Jarakillers Fest’ ainda conta com o apoio da Personal Clinic, Chopp Batuta, Riffs Academia de Música, Tintas Suvinil, Magistral e Planeta Rock, com o patrocínio da Influx.

Seeking integration between public and manauaras musicians, the band created Jarakillers an independent music festival in 2013. The initiative proved to many rock fans a great balcony and a year later the 'Fest Jarakillers Manaus', reaches its second edition this November.
Bringing together various styles within the rock'n'roll, from metal to punk rock trash, and aiming to foster and promote the copyright of the local scene bands, the festival will feature nine bands of Manaus and will be held on the 22nd of this month the Athletic Club Rio Negro, in the center of town.
"Besides Jarakillers own, have already confirmed their Nekrost, Ilai, Evil Syndicate, Sandman, The Mones, Eutanase, Infamia Dezolation and bands as well as DJ Cybernet," said event organizer and singer of Jarakillers, Kimo, noting that the event will start at 16h and should extend until 4am. "Each band will have about an hour of show," he added.
To meet the bands, recalls that Kimo had the help of site 'Touch in Brazil'. "We announced the event on the site and, in all, over seventy bands throughout Latin America have registered to attend the event, but we gave preference to local bands." For future issues, Kimo think about expanding the line up Latin America and accepting bands from countries like Chile and Argentina.
The event, according to Kimo, will also be the ideal moment for the band, on the road since 2001, releasing their first studio album, called 'Macabre tales of Dark River' (a literal translation of the English 'macabre tales of Rio Negro ). "We have not defined the repertoire of our presentation on the day, but I believe we will play songs from the album," said the musician.
With an audience of 300 people in the previous edition, taking place on the road of Tourism, Kimo hopes for this year more than 500 people. "We moved to the center just to be more accessible, in a place where you spend most bus and everyone knows that," he said.
