     Além de liberar a prévia, o vocalista e guitarrista Dave Grohl revelou que uma das músicas do disco é sobre o fim do Nirvana e do período em que mergulhou no luto, após o suicídio do amigo Kurt Cobain.

     O episódio que Dave se refere faz parte da série ” Sonic Highways”, que acompanha as gravações do disco. Dividida em oito capítulos, a série percorre os estúdios nos quais a banda gravou o disco e ainda conta com depoimentos de estrelas do rock.

 

     A banda Foo Fighters divulgou, na noite desta quarta-feira (29), o trecho de uma das oito canções que estarão no disco “Sonic Highways”, que será lançado em 10 de dezembro. O grupo sempre curtiu fazer parcerias e abrir o leque — e lança agora o DVD ‘Metal Veins — Alive At Rock in Rio’, gravado na edição de 2013 do festival, ao lado do grupo-multidão francês Tambours du Bronx. 

 

      “Nunca tivemos medo de perder fãs. A gente perde uns e ganha outros. E vemos gente de tudo quanto é tipo que conhece a história da banda e pelo menos uma música. Temos 30 anos, né, meu?”, diz, em bom paulistês, o guitarrista Andreas Kisser. Até crianças conhecem o Sepultura: o grupo fez uma versão metal do clássico infantil ‘Ciranda Cirandinha’ para o quadro ‘Camera Kids’, do ‘Fantástico’, há alguns meses. “Nosso público tem várias idades e classes sociais. Sempre tivemos essa coisa de gerações diferentes, até dentro do Sepultura. Heavy metal passa de pai para filho. Isso faz parte da nossa história”, acredita.

 

     Em ‘Metal Veins — Alive At Rock in Rio’, os quatro integrantes do Sepultura (além de Andreas, Eloy Casagrande na bateria, Paulo Jr. no baixo e Derrick Green no vocal) têm o desafio de não desaparecer em meio à massa de 18 instrumentistas batendo em tonéis. O repertório inclui sucessos do grupo (‘Refuse/Resist’, ‘Kaiowas’, ‘Territory’, ‘Roots Bloody Roots’), uma música feita pelas duas bandas especialmente para a ocasião (‘Structure Violence’), outras do Tambours (como ‘Big Hands’) e até um cover do Prodigy (‘Firestarter’). Nos extras, um documentário com bastidores da apresentação.

     “Tudo foi consequência daquele primeiro show nosso com o Tambours, no Rock in Rio de 2011 (no Palco Sunset), que teve um começo difícil. Demoramos para alinhar tudo e subir no palco, rolou vaia, mas deu certo e teve um impacto que ninguém estava esperando”, anima-se Andreas Kisser. “A gente já tinha esse plano de fazer o DVD e contamos com toda a estrutura e tempo. Antes, tocamos também no Rock in Rio Lisboa (2012) e pudemos ter o palco todo para a gente. O Metallica, que era o headliner, foi bem generoso com as outras bandas nesse aspecto. Já quando tocamos no (festival alemão) Wacken Open Air, o Slipknot fechou o evento e tivemos um palco bem limitado. 
"Sem planos para apresentações no Rio por enquanto (o grupo toca na Austrália e Nova Zelândia em breve), o Sepultura continua a turnê do álbum ‘The Mediator Between Head and Hands Must Be the Heart’, o primeiro a trazer o jovem Eloy Casagrande na bateria. “A turnê está sendo ótima. Fora o bullying comigo, é tudo tranquilo”, graceja Eloy. “Mas eu também faço bullying com os mais velhos, especialmente o ‘tio’ Paulo (Paulo Jr., baixista), que tem barba branca. Com o Andreas nem dá, porque ele é quarentão, mas nem aparenta”, diz. “Daqui a pouco o Eloy processa a gente”, diverte-se Andreas.

     O grupo acaba de fazer um documentário, ‘Sepultura do Brasil’, exibido pelo Canal Bis, mostrando as três décadas de história e as mudanças na formação da banda — que, hoje, usa sua marca em diversos produtos, como cervejas, vinhos e até um molho de pimenta. E vem aí um longa com o resto do material gravado para o doc, ‘Sepultura 30 Anos’. Mesmo com os diversos projetos, discos e turnês, ainda assim é comum fãs perguntarem a Andreas e Paulo sobre uma volta da formação clássica do grupo. “Esse assunto é uma m..., já encheu o saco.
