     Há um ano, Dave Grohl falou sobre quão sagradas são as composições do NIRVANA para ele e seu ex-companheiro Krist Novoselic e justificou o porquê de não executá-las ao vivo com o FOO FIGHTERS. "Nós temos que ser cuidadosos – estamos pisando em ovos", alegou o ex-baterista de uma das bandas mais conhecidas dos mundo. Evidentemente, tocar músicas do NIRVANA impulsionaria sua atual carreira ao lado do FOO FIGHTERS, mas Dave fala que "a oportunidade na verdade nunca surgiu, ou não pareceu algo correto".
     Por outro lado, a memória permanece e o frontman do FOO FIGHTERS parece ter decidido pisar nos tais ovos no novo álbum do grupo, Sonic Highways, que chegará ao mercado no dia 10 de novembro sucedendo o extremamente bem sucedido Wasting Light (2011). No lançamento, cada uma das oito faixas foi gravada em históricos estúdios americanos distribuídos em oito cidades do país e, para a parada em Seattle, local que o consagrou com o NIRVANA, surgiu a faixa "Subterranean" – conforme Dave confirmou ao Studio Brussel.
     "Seattle é onde minha vida mudou com o NIRVANA e recomeçou com o FOO FIGHTERS", diz Grohl. "Na faixa, conto a história da cidade e do Robert Lang Studios, onde nos reunimos [com o NIRVANA] pela última vez. É um local ao norte da cidade, próximo à minha casa. Logo após gravarmos lá, Kurt [Cobain] morreu".

     A year ago, Dave Grohl talked about how sacred are the compositions of NIRVANA for him and his former teammate Krist Novoselic and justified why not run them live with the FOO FIGHTERS. "We have to be careful - we're walking on eggshells," claimed the former drummer of one of the best known bands of the world. Of course, playing songs from Nirvana boost your current career alongside FOO FIGHTERS to, but Dave says that "the opportunity never really arose, or something did not seem right."

      Moreover, the memory remains and FOO FIGHTERS frontman seems to have decided to step on such eggs in the new album, Sonic Highways, which will hit the market on November 10 succeeding the highly successful Wasting Light (2011). At launch, each of the eight tracks were recorded in historical American studios distributed in eight cities across the country, and to stop in Seattle, the site devoted to Nirvana came the track "Subterranean" - as Dave confirmed to Studio Brussel.

      "Seattle is where my life changed with NIRVANA and FOO FIGHTERS resumed with," says Grohl. "In track, I tell the story of the city and the Robert Lang Studios, where we met with [NIRVANA] the last time. It is a place north of the city, close to my house. Soon after we record there, Kurt [Cobain] died ".
